Knowing Where to Start...
A valid diagnosis must deliver information (be descriptive and predictive) and provide the basis for a development plan (be prescriptive).
The four components of the Faust Management "Diagnostic Suite" will profile your organization with whatever level of information you need to be able to start driving your company toward PRIME.
1. Organizational Life Cycle Analysis
The Life Cycle Insight is abasic analysis designed to assess an organization's
life cycle position, some of the characteristics that define the organization
given that life cycle position, and specific challenges it faces in proceeding
to its prime phase.
Descriptive & Predictive Benefits
The Life Cycle Insight produces an adequate amount of data to determine
the organization's life cycle position and reports on three key life cycle
warning factors.
Prescriptive Benefits
The Life Cycle Insight is not designed to identify the specific
developmental agenda items of a development plan. This assessment does,
however, aid in identifying the life cycle position...it specifies the
characteristics of your organization and illustrates the challenges the
organization faces in proceeding toward Prime, allowing the you to develop
your own action plan.
2. CEO Perspective Assessment
This assessment utilizes the Executive Insight Business Analysis Kit which is an individual assessment tool that has been designed specifically for use by the leader of an organization. The Business Analysis Kit guides the individual through a process to better understand the key challenges facing the organization from the leader's perspective and to identify the opportunities.
Descriptive & Predictive Benefits
The data generated using the Business Analysis Kit is limited in that it only looks at the organization from one perspective -- that of the leader. However, this also allows the leader to focus on those crucial areas that the leader needs to address.
Prescriptive Benefits
Because of the limited data, the Action Plans developed as part of this process are focused more directly toward the leader and often are more personal in nature. To create broader, organization-wide change, more complete problem analysis and action planning development are usually required.
3. Executive Team Based Diagnostic
Utilizing FMC's Executive Insight® guided process of discovery, decisions and action planning, this facilitated process will help you to get control of your organization and drive it to Prime and a stronger future. It is used with your management team and not only helps the team to get a solid grasp of the key challenges facing the organization but also creates working consciousness as to the top priority problems/opportunities to be addressed.
Additional side benefits include increasing the effectiveness of the team's ability to have productive problem solving discussions, and a consistent way in which to assess what challenges should and should not be directly attacked.
Descriptive & Predictive Benefits
The Executive Insight team process will explore all aspects of the organization to identify the possible areas of improvement which exist (including external and end result factors), and then provide a logic that will lead the team to the core challenges uncovering the greatest opportunities for improvement.
Prescriptive Benefits
This process provides not only specific output necessary to create a development plan but also is an integral part of the process in the establishment of critical action agenda items that are necessary to effect positive change for your organization.
4. Comprehensive Organizational Based Diagnostic
This is our most in-depth and comprehensive diagnostic process which consists of utilizing FMC's Organizational Diagnostic Questionnaire tool, feedback and action planning sessions. The ODQ is a computer-scored instrument for collecting information on critical organizational variables and provides a broad-based assessment of the organization based on both the corporate Life Cycle and Executive Insight models.
Descriptive & Predictive Benefits
This process identifies not only the key challenges and then a process to identify the top priority issues, but also provides the Life Cycle position and Life Cycle Warning Factors assessment, 11 unique Future Success Predictors and strengths analysis. Additionally this process allows for the integration of interview data and free response input.
Prescriptive Benefits
This process provides not only specific output necessary to create a development plan but also is an integral part of the process in the establishment of critical action agenda items that are necessary to effect positive change for your organization.
